Let me try something new but please, please, please, let me do it right and well the first time. Everyone came to the class pretty nervous about our ability to perform and everyone left the class soggy and tired but extremely giddy.
Why do we feel we have to be good at something to try it, that we have to succeed at something in order to enjoy it,Echo was also spirited and energetic, that we have to do something right before we feel accomplished? Striving for perfection can create frustration and disappointment. But doing something imperfectly leads to new insights and a new way of looking at things.
Here's what perfection is costing us:
Spontaneity,when that happens. Perfection is a way to be in control. But control limits spontaneity.

I am somebody who has a liking to the wrong types of food and drinks and as a result have had an ongoing battle with my weight for most of my life. I have to be very careful what I eat as I seem to gain weight very easily. I was a bit of a fast food junkie, this was only because of my busy lifestyle . One of my biggest problems though was that I liked snack food, such as peanuts,why don't people want to work any more, chocolate and crisps. I also liked an alcohol as this helped me to gain confidence.
I knew that most people would advise me to stop eating all fatty type foods, especially the pizzas and chips. They would also no doubt, advise me to join a gym and to go jogging every morning. Get real! Those gyms are full of thin people,if you choose, if I go jogging I might get mugged, and I am sorry but life would not be worth living without my weekly pizza!
What I needed was my own weight loss plan so I decided that what I would do is to basically eat a healthy type breakfast, which would be cerial or toast. The main thing and most difficult to implement would be the fact that I would be no longer eating between meals. The snacks had to go!. For exercise I decided to leave the car at home, wherever possible, and walk to more places. I also started taking my children to the park more often. Handbags are very hot these days. They're everywhere with so many different styles, shapes, colors and embellishments. They've seem to become an accessory item like jewelry. You can't have enough of them and we need them to match the outfit like our jewelry. They have become so much a part of the outfit ensemble. Our lifestyles are forever changing, and with this, so do our handbags. In working in the industry, I have been amazed at how personal a handbag is and how so very different we are in what we choose to carry. Where do you fall with your handbags in what size that you carry?
I have young children but I am past the diaper bag stage. I still tend to carry the medium to larger size bag when the kids are around because I always get the here mom, carry this where-ever we go. Drives you crazy doesn't it!! On the other hand, I'm tired of the big thing so I like the smaller size bags to feel feminine again. They are so handy especially on those ladies night out or those rare dates with my husband. Did I say rare! We like to look good and not be overpowered by our purse. That brings us into those small handbags. I found so many women to my surprise like to carry them. It dawned on me that we live in a very professional and busy world. We girl's need to carry the basics at all times and that little purse fits the need. We live such busy lifestyles and are always on the go. We don't want anything big and clunky in the way to slow us down any more than we need to be. If you are carrying a briefcase, portfolios, or your laptop, as well or other business items, you definitely don't need another large item. They also come in handy in fabric for business travelers. Compact for the suitcase but look great for the dinners and business meetings. Now, those super small evening bags I just haven't figured it out why anyone bothers. You can maybe fit your lipstick in them if you are lucky. I guess it is all in the look. I am the practical type so I don't get it! There are plenty of reasonably sized evening bags that look great. Now ladies, I must say that too many of you buy the little handbags when you should not. I've seen them so crammed with stuff that they look distorted. Break down and buy a larger bag. It will look much neater and we will see the great handbag you're carrying and not a mess.
Gone are the days of the moms carrying the huge bag with everything in it including the kitchen sink. You know, the one's carrying the first aid kit, sewing kit, scissors etc. just as my mom does. Oh, and they need lots of pockets for all that stuff so they have a harder time finding the keys because they don't know which pocket it's in this time. My mom's a seasoned grandmother and I guess she feels she still needs to carry everything. Just in case! There are plenty of our mothers/grandmothers out there that you know exactly what I'm talking about. I have women buy the cute nice size handbag and then the huge one for their mom. Do you fall into this huge bag syndrome?
Speaking of moms, let us not forget the dedicated new moms of the world. I honor all of you because I've been there done that. These are the women who give up their handbags altogether for the diaper bag. You carry so much around for the kids that you just stuff your wallet in the diaper bag. There's no time for yourself so the lipstick is definitely dropped from the contents of what you carry. Occasionally you try to take back your womanly status and carry a purse but realize fast what a hassle. What we give up for those little blessings! Diaper bags have changed so much over the years. There are so many incredible looking diaper bags that really don't look like a diaper bag. They are useful, because that's important, but great looking.
That brings us to the younger set, oh to be young again. Teenagers and young adults have a mind of their own and a definite taste of their own,Ugg Classic Tall. They are coming into themselves of who they are and what they want from life. It better be a very in and stylish handbag. Don't dare buy a handbag for them unless they've seen it and asked for it. Why Some DV Shelters Need To Reconsider Their Policies
As a former resident in many DV shelters across the USA and, a former staff member, it has become easy to assess why some shelters' success rate is very low. Furthermore, through listening to other residents and sharing our mutual concerns, I have come to the conclusion that the policies in effect in most DV shelters are unsuitable for DV survivors.
I believe that the originators of DV shelters had the best of intentions and just by setting up facilities for women and children to seek haven from the abuser/batterer, they have made a great contribution to developing awareness and better understanding of domestic violence. However, as pioneers, they lacked an appropriate model to follow so they designed their system based on the only shelters available at the time: homeless shelters.
Nevertheless, many years have gone by since the inseption of DV shelters and much has been learnt about the particular issues affecting this specific social group. Yet, most DV shelters are still following the old model and, some, have even added characteristics that emulate correctional facilities,Males show more direct aggression while women tend to show indirect aggression.. In doing so, they "inadvertendly" keep victimizing DV survivors and contributing to the "blaming the victim" mentality. Thus,Finding just the right wedding dress can take quite some time, rendering their system ineffective.
* DV survivors are not criminals/inmates.
* They are not responsible for the abuse,Ugg Classic Tall. It is their abuser/batterer the one that has made a choice to resort to tyranny and victimization.
* DV survivors are not the problem; the abuser/batterer is.
* DV survivors deserve to be heard and treated with dignity and respect regardless of their shortcomings.
* DV survivors are not inepts or stupid. They've managed to survive, haven't they?
* Not all DV survivors are mentally ill, alcoholics, or drug addicts.
* DV survivors do not need to be treated like children and/or in a condescending way. They abuser did that to them for years.
* DV survivors need to be part of the solution and regain control over their lives and choices,#3 Time Your Intercourse.
The current status quo regarding DV survivors vs. abusers/batterers is one of punishment. Our system and society expects DV survivors to be the ones to turn their life around, abandon everything, live in shelters, give up most of their rights and freedom, instead of the abuser/batterer. In doing so, we are punishing the victims. These expectations are so outrageous that they are equivalent to putting rape victims in jail or prison while letting the rapist run rampant in our communities.
Therefore, as DV survivors, we have come to the conclusion that this situation and status quo will perpetuate ad nauseaum unless we, the affected parties, take control and take action. Thus, Survivors United Against Domestic Violence (SUADV) was born. We are certain that just like groups such as MADD, we will make the big difference regarding this issue. Join us.

Mom Starts Home Business Teaching Parents To Sign to Their Hearing Babies
You've just had this beautiful baby. And then it happens they cry, they fuss and you have no idea what it is they want. What's worse is that for the next 13 to 15 months you're going to have little clue why this new beautiful bundle of joy is upset. But do you really have to wait that long?
"Research has shown that while babies may lack the fine motor skills to speak, they do have the ability to understand and use language as early as 6-7 months. And given the right guidance, they have lots to say - with their hands." Says Diane Ryan, Kindersigns founder, a certified speech and language pathologist, and an expert when it comes to teaching babies sign language.
So what does this mean exactly? Is Diane telling us that we don't have to wait until our babies are talking for us to know what they want? This almost sounds too good to be true.
I decided to do a little research and see if this was really possible. I talked with Jill Paron-St. Louis who has a 17-month-old son named Nathan. Nathan has been signing with his mom since he was 10 months old,but the spouse stays..
Even before Jill was pregnant with Nathan she knew she wanted to teach her baby to sign,Ugg Classic Tall. Jill graduated with a sign language communications degree in 1994, and was teaching hearing impaired children. Jill explains, "I knew when I eventually had children, that I wanted them to learn how to communicate in American Sign Language. It is a wonderful language and I wanted to introduce it to them out of interest, and if by chance they ever met a child in school one day, they could communicate through Sign Language."
While Jill was pregnant with Nathan she also started to read many articles about the benefits of teaching hearing babies to sign. She learned that there were many more benefits to signing to a pre-verbal baby than she had ever realized. The only problem was she had no idea how to actually go about teaching signs to her son. She found out about a business opportunity that could teach parents how to sign to their babies and jumped on the idea.
Jill started teaching Nathan to sign when he was ten months old. She didn't know what to expect at first or how long it would take for him to learn. She says, "I started teaching my son to sign at 10 months, I remember after about 8 weeks thinking he just wasn't getting it. I couldn't help but think I was doing something wrong, but I stuck it out and after 10 weeks of teaching him, he signed back to me! While sitting in his high chair he signed that he wanted "More Cheerios!!" I was so excited!"
Since that first "More Cheerios" sign, Nathan hasn't stopped signing. He is 17 months old and knows 30 signs and is learning more every day. Besides the signs, his vocabulary is incredible. He now knows about 75 words. Jill explains, "He is a very happy and calm baby. The only times he really gets frustrated is when he can't have something he wants. Otherwise, he is able to tell me what he wants without any frustration. If he's thirsty, or tired, or hungry, or wants me to read him a book he tells me. It's just amazing,000 so most diamond merchants would have the need to be VAT registered.!!!"
Jill has been able to get her whole family involved too. Her husband and parents, who are 65 years old,a woman typically gains weight as she gets older. With the growth of the baby in the woman's tummy, have learned sign language so they could talk with Nathan too. Jill says, "This experience has been extremely rewarding for us all!"
Not only has this been an incredible experience for Jill's family, but she has also been able to create a very rewarding business as well. She is now able to teach other parents to sign to their babies. When Nathan was about 14 months old and was signing back to Jill on a regular basis, Jill felt confident to start teaching other parents. She started her business called, Baby Signers.
Jill held her first baby-signing workshop in May of 2005 at a woman's home and then followed that by giving a private class for her and three of her friends. "I left feeling confident and proud with the information I had given them," Says Jill. Four months later Jill taught another six private workshops and five public ones with more classes scheduled. She estimates that she has already taught between 65-70 people how to sign to their babies. "It is extremely rewarding and I often get emails from people letting me know that their babies have started to sign back," Explains Jill.
This business has been perfect for Jill. "I love the freedom that Kindersigns gives. We are able to say that we have been trained by them, but still have complete control over all our marketing and pricing, and in just four months I have made a name for myself," Says Jill, who is very excited about the future of her business. She hopes to have more babies of her own to teach this special way of communication as well as many new clients down the road.

I decided to do a little research and see if this was really possible. I talked with Jill Paron-St. Louis who has a 17-month-old son named Nathan. Nathan has been signing with his mom since he was 10 months old,but the spouse stays..
Even before Jill was pregnant with Nathan she knew she wanted to teach her baby to sign,Ugg Classic Tall. Jill graduated with a sign language communications degree in 1994, and was teaching hearing impaired children. Jill explains, "I knew when I eventually had children, that I wanted them to learn how to communicate in American Sign Language. It is a wonderful language and I wanted to introduce it to them out of interest, and if by chance they ever met a child in school one day, they could communicate through Sign Language."
While Jill was pregnant with Nathan she also started to read many articles about the benefits of teaching hearing babies to sign. She learned that there were many more benefits to signing to a pre-verbal baby than she had ever realized. The only problem was she had no idea how to actually go about teaching signs to her son. She found out about a business opportunity that could teach parents how to sign to their babies and jumped on the idea.
Jill started teaching Nathan to sign when he was ten months old. She didn't know what to expect at first or how long it would take for him to learn. She says, "I started teaching my son to sign at 10 months, I remember after about 8 weeks thinking he just wasn't getting it. I couldn't help but think I was doing something wrong, but I stuck it out and after 10 weeks of teaching him, he signed back to me! While sitting in his high chair he signed that he wanted "More Cheerios!!" I was so excited!"
Since that first "More Cheerios" sign, Nathan hasn't stopped signing. He is 17 months old and knows 30 signs and is learning more every day. Besides the signs, his vocabulary is incredible. He now knows about 75 words. Jill explains, "He is a very happy and calm baby. The only times he really gets frustrated is when he can't have something he wants. Otherwise, he is able to tell me what he wants without any frustration. If he's thirsty, or tired, or hungry, or wants me to read him a book he tells me. Jill has been able to get her whole family involved too. Her husband and parents, who are 65 years old,a woman typically gains weight as she gets older. With the growth of the baby in the woman's tummy, have learned sign language so they could talk with Nathan too. Jill says, "This experience has been extremely rewarding for us all!"
Not only has this been an incredible experience for Jill's family, but she has also been able to create a very rewarding business as well. She is now able to teach other parents to sign to their babies. When Nathan was about 14 months old and was signing back to Jill on a regular basis, Jill felt confident to start teaching other parents. She started her business called, Baby Signers.
Jill held her first baby-signing workshop in May of 2005 at a woman's home and then followed that by giving a private class for her and three of her friends. "I left feeling confident and proud with the information I had given them," Says Jill. Four months later Jill taught another six private workshops and five public ones with more classes scheduled. She estimates that she has already taught between 65-70 people how to sign to their babies. "It is extremely rewarding and I often get emails from people letting me know that their babies have started to sign back," Explains Jill.
This business has been perfect for Jill. "I love the freedom that Kindersigns gives. We are able to say that we have been trained by them, but still have complete control over all our marketing and pricing, and in just four months I have made a name for myself," Says Jill, who is very excited about the future of her business. She hopes to have more babies of her own to teach this special way of communication as well as many new clients down the road.
